ABOUT US
Water Lilies Pre-School is a friendly, non-profit Pre-School based in the small community of Ifield West in Crawley. Open to all Children from 2 - 4 years, we aim to provide a safe, interesting and above all fun environment in which your children can play, learn and grow.

Formally a part of the Willow Tree Pre-Schools charity group, founded in 1990, in 2017 the charity decided to split in to it's four separate settings. The Ifield West pre-school has been active since 2011, and is run by an experienced group of Childcare Professionals, led by our Manager, Leanne.
Child Development
Our key focus is the wellbeing of the children in our care. We work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework in order to support your child's intellectual and social development. We're really proud to have achieved a GOOD Ofsted Report in our most recent inspection. You can view it HERE.
Through a mix of adult-led and self-initiated activities, we encourage the children to explore their surroundings, encounter new experiences and learn to take risks in a safe and nurturing environment.

Each child is assigned a Key Worker who monitors and assesses their development and works with you to tailor a routine that meets your child's requirements.

We encourage our Parents and Carers to take an active role in their Child's education, and with use of our Tapestry portal, you can keep up to date with the progress your child is making. We also offer termly Parent and Carer consultations, giving you the chance to discuss in person your Child's development and any concerns you may have. Please come along to our Play and Stay Sessions.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME
All children are special. We strive to provide equal opportunities and a welcome for all, regardless of background or ability, without discrimination or prejudice. All children irrespective of special educational need, disability, mental health or medical need, race, culture, class, creed, gender or social status are welcome at Water Lilies.

Our staff includes a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), Lianne Rutherford. Lianne coordinates the Special Educational Needs provision within our setting, ensuring that parents / carers and children are all offered the support they need.

We also encourage all the children in our care to embrace different cultures and religions. We do this through celebrating a variety of different Holidays and Cultural Celebrations throughout the year, including (but not limited to) Easter, Hanukkah & Diwali. We encourage Parents and Carers to get involved, coming into the pre-school to help show the children different ways of celebrating.
